Do you believe in ghosts?

A few nights ago, a friend and I were playing "Pokemon go!" at a local cemetery. I hadn't given much thought to the fact we were surrounded by deceased people, but apparently, it was all that was on her mind. After some time had passed, we were driving around (preparing to leave) when we seen something we could not explain. There was a slender, pale girl with black hair sitting on the edge of a mausoleum staring off in the distance. At first, I didn't think much of it, but my friend was completely freaked...

We sat there for a few minutes, viewing her through the car's headlights. I expected her to turn and look in our direction. Surely she was wondering what we were doing there? But she NEVER moved. We decided to pull off out of her sight and as soon as we passed, we put the car in reverse (to see if the girl had moved) and there was nothing there!! We searched the area for her, sure that we would see her along the road or in the field in front of the mausoleum (where she was staring), but she was gone!

Okay, so before I continue, I think its important to note that I am a huge skeptic. I think the term "ghost" is nothing more than a way to write off the unexplained or a means to comfort your mind so you don't go mad searching for answers. But this had spiked my curiosity. Where did she go? Did she freeze like that because she didn't expect to see anyone else there? Did she take off and hide behind a tree, waiting for us to leave? What was she even doing there? Which leads me to question, was she even there at all?

I had never really had an experience quite like this one. Sure I've seen shadows out the corner of my eye, or thought I heard voices when I was home alone, but never had I even seen something so vivid... Millions of people around the world believes that ghosts exist. There's tons of unexplained images, and while they are, indeed, interesting, there is no way to prove these events actually happened the way they've claimed. Personally, I have no clue what I really saw, but I truly don't believe it was some imaginary being from the beyond.
